Date: 22/04/2010
Time: 06:30 pm
Location: System Concepts Ltd., 2 Savoy Court, Strand, London WC2R 0EZ
The UKUPA and System Concepts will host an evening packed with information and discussion on the benefits of inclusive mobile phone design. The event is to raise awareness of the difficulties faced by all users of everyday mobile phone technology, including but not restricted to those with disabilities, and how to design accordingly.
The first part of the evening will discuss the benefits of and barriers to using mainstream mobile phones, assistive mobile phone technology and available guidelines for inclusive design.
At the end of the session, representatives from mobile phone companies and providers will be given the opportunity to briefly discuss their current view and future plans for inclusive design as part of a panel discussion.
The event will offer an opportunity to define what is meant by inclusive mobile phone design; explore what is currently being done; what could be done in the future to improve inclusive design; how guidelines can be made more useful as well as how to improve access to assistive technology.
This event is being sponsored and hosted by Systems Concepts.

He’s an active member of the software testing communities and has written, published and presented globally. Currently he works for Google as a senior test engineer. At Google he’s been actively involved in mobile applications in Europe, and has helped lead the accessibility efforts with a particular focus on mobile devices and applications.
