London: Rapid Prototyping Workshop (Thursday, 15 September)

Ben Luff will look at rapid prototyping in the context of user-centred design approaches and the promotion of usability within the development process. He will outline a range of prototyping techniques that can be employed, and will provide a guide for selecting the appropriate prototyping approach for various design situations. He will stress the need to focus upon the purpose of prototyping, the audience of the prototypes and how this activity fits into the design cycle. During this workshop-type event he will offer examples of various prototyping techniques and will lead an interactive prototyping session.

Bio:
Ben Luff is a Senior Consultant with System Concepts. He has been commissioned to provide usability support for a number of high-profile IT projects, both within Government and the commercial sector, including Hewlett Packard, Motorola, EDS, the Department for Transport and the New York Stock Exchange. Throughout this work he has regularly been involved with the creation and evaluation of prototypes at various phases of system and product development.
