Industry day at HCI 2005 - call for participation
One full day of the BCS HCI conference will have a special focus on industry.
The goals of this day are:
- To hear from some of the leaders in HCI ,usability and brand experience within industry;
- To give industrial and commercial organisations and individuals the opportunity to share their work in HCI and usability;
- To give all participants the chance to learn more about and to discuss issues in HCI practice;
- To offer the opportunity to meet specialist suppliers;
- To offer an annual opportunity to network with peers from industry.
Who should contribute?
HCI is concerned with all aspects of the interaction a person has with technology, be it through the brand marketing, the physical hardware, the software interface or the training material. All have a part to play in a holistic approach to HCI. If you work in any of these areas, you may be interested in attending and finding out more or actually contributing.
Contributors with a commercial affiliation may make submissions to the general conference short papers submission category or specifically to Industry Day chair. Contributors can choose to submit an overview and presentation, rather than a formal short paper.
Contributions intended specifically for Industry Day should be submitted to the Industry Day chairs.
