Local Chapters

The UK Chapter encourages engagement from every part of the UK. While the committee does currently have focus in London because of the volume of practitioners based there, we encourage and support UX practitioners across the UK to get involved and to set up their own local group.

You can either affiliate a group to the UK Chapter or set up a UPA Chapter of your own that is directly affiliated to the Global UPA.

The other UK-based chapter is the Scottish Usability Professionals’ Association:

Scottish UPA
The Scottish Chapter of the Usability Professionals’ Association brings together UK professionals based in Scotland from the design, technology and research communities who share a vision of creating compelling technology that meets users’ needs and abilities.

There are plenty of other local UPA chapters across Europe, find out where they exist on the global site.

If you would like to set up a local group, and you would like our support in helping you to set it up, to spread the word and advise you on running events then please get in touch.

There may also be a UX group in your area that is not affiliated to the UPA – check our UX communities page for this.
