User Experience Senior Architect, UK, Germany or The Netherlands, to c£50k plus bonus & benefits
Pegasystems, the global leader in BPM, is looking for a talented UX practitioner to create successful user experiences on projects for its blue chip clients. This is a ‘hands-on’ role and requires both User Experience deliverables as well as creating User Interface assets within Pegasystems applications.
ESSENTIAL UX/UI SKILLS:
*Expert in User Centered Design (UCD), Interaction Design (IxD) & Usability best practices
*Experience in a customer-facing role and working collaboratively with outside consultants and vendors to develop UI artifacts.
*Experience working on enterprise-scale web applications, intranets or RIAs (commercial software)
*Heuristic reviews, contextual inquiry, usability analysis
*Identify and analyze user flows and use cases
*Capable of thinking at a conceptual level, identifying & unifying UI metaphors
*In depth knowledge of HTML and CSS
*Understanding of AJAX (JavaScript/XML) principles and capabilities
*Knowledge of platform and browser implications
*Visio (or similar) and Microsoft Office.
SOFT SKILLS:
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
*Ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences comprised of senior management/business users, development, as well as end users
DESIRED SKILLS:
*Experience mentoring outside consultants and vendors on UX and UI principles
*Knowledge of Web standards and accessibility
*In depth knowledge of AJAX and associated technologies – XML, JavaScript, DOM
WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:
*To become an expert on PRPC’s (Pega Rules Process Commander) UI-related functionality and serve as a subject matter expert within the Global Services organization.
*Providing thought leadership to clients, partners, and Pega services around the Pegasystem’s user experience
*To work on dynamically generated, multi-product UI frameworks.
*Strong desire to learn and develop additional skills and expertise over time.
*Act as ‘user champion’ on projects with both client’s stakeholders and Pega’s development teams.
*Ability to work both remotely and ‘on site’ with clients.
*Prepared to travel extensively throughout Europe to work with industry leading blue chip clients.
