User Experience Designer / Information Architect – Permanent role at 3Sixty, Bristol
3Sixty is a well-established digital marketing agency in Bristol and was recently voted 3rd most respected creative business in the South West of England just behind Aardman Animations. At 3Sixty you will be part of a team that includes designers, information architects, developers, planners and project managers whose aim is to build outstanding creative websites amongst other digital marketing assets.
Position: User experience designer / information architect
Type: Permanent, full time
Salary: £22k to £30k depending on age and experience
Start date: As soon as possible
Experience: 1 to 3 years digital experience
Education: Degree level (or equivalent).
The Role
Reporting to our Head of User Experience, your primary role is to continue our tradition of placing exceptional user experience at the very heart of all our work.
Key responsibilities:
* Participating in the creative process to come up with solutions to solve our clients’ problems.
* Researching and prioritising business and user requirements and functional requirements.
* Supporting our Head of UX devising and running research and client workshops.
* Developing information architectures, taxonomies and nomenclature for web-based applications and sites and presenting this work to clients with help from our Head of UX.
* Prototyping navigation models, creating wireframes and prototypes for demonstration to clients.
* Working with the project management and development teams to document functional specifications.
* Reviewing creative concepts and designs to ensure UX best practice and conformity to sitemaps and wireframes.
* Assisting the project management team with the preparation of costs and taking responsibility for accurate costing.
* Educating the rest of the agency in the latest UX thinking.
You
* You are a perfectionist who is passionate about delivering excellence on time and to budget.

* You can think laterally and come up with ways to over deliver.
* You are not afraid of starting with a blank sheet of paper.
* You have worked in a digital agency and/or UX consultancy for a minimum of 1 year.
* You love the creative process that is scoping out a project.
* You enjoy working with clients to get their requirements.
* You are passionate about user centered design.
*You are primarily a User Experience Designer but you’re happy to muck in where required.
* You keep up to date with latest technology and UX thinking.
* You have an eye for design.
Your skills
Essential
* Minimum of 1 year experience producing wireframes and sitemaps, and translating customer and business needs into brilliant online experiences.
* A proven and successful track record helping to deliver UX projects in a competitive, commercial environment.
* Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, account teams and creative teams.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
Nice to have:
* HCI qualification
* Understanding of server side development technologies (e.g. Microsoft .NET).
* Understanding of front-end development, SEO, semantic mark-up and accessibility.
* Understanding of the capabilities of Flash / Actionscript.
* Understanding of the particular requirements of designing for a content managed website.
* Experience of using Axure RP.
