Usability and User Research Consultants (19th Aug)
We are a Customer Experience Consultancy looking for consultants with a minimum of 3 years experience.
£250-£375 per day
We need people who believe that the customer should be placed at the centre of any proposition, who can engage end users on all projects, and encourage honest and realistic input and feedback in a test environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Impressive interviewing skills
Proven ability and experience to:
o Analyze data and turn them into design requirements
o Define usability scope and objectives
o Conduct usability reviews and test sessions with nominated users
o Measure the ease with which users complete common tasks in the test environment
Knowledge and experience of internet trends
Extensive experience in the field, or a formal background in one or more of the following;
o Cognitive Psychology
o User Interaction Design
o HCI & Usability Principles
o Ergonomics
o Research or Testing Methodologies
A detailed understanding of the principles and techniques associated with the accessibility of interactive media
Good understanding of the technology required to build interactive applications on the web or other media
Familiarity with Morae
Confident presentation skills
Ability to handle client projects from inception to completion
Responsibilities:
Work with clients to define usability scope and objectives for internet and mobile projects
Manage or support usability sessions and reviews with selected users
Work directly with end users in test or interview environments to carry out research, testing on paper or working prototypes
Work to project schedules, report progress and raise issues, in a timely manner

Travel may be required throughout the UK as you will work on customer sites during projects and therefore the willingness to travel is essential.
Work will be freelance or contract based and extensions or permanent conversion may be possible for the right candidates.
