About us
The UK Chapter of the Usability Professionals' Association is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers.
Our mission
The UK Chapter of the Usability Professionals’ Association brings together UK professionals from the design, technology and research communities who share a vision of creating compelling technology that meets users’ needs and abilities.
Through our meetings, discussions and outreach work, we aim to:
- Provide our members with opportunities for learning and professional growth
- Champion the benefits of user centred design techniques and approaches
Our events
We run monthly events on a wide range of topics relevant to the design and research communities. These events are free to members of the Usability Professionals' Association. Non-members are charged £10 to attend our events (with the exception of the Careers events which are free). Student non-members are charged at a £5 concession price.
Any monies received are used to cover event costs such as venue hire, refreshments and equipment hire. If there are any profits from an event, these are invested into the next event.
