About UK UPA

The UK Chapter of the Usability Professionals’ Association is a not-for-profit organisation run exclusively by a committee of volunteers. We organise and coordinate events and activities for the benefit of the User Experience community in the UK, together with sponsors and partner organisations.

The UK UPA is affiliated to the International Usability Professionals’ Association who exclusively manage membership, and our members are all of those International UPA members whose stated country of residence is the UK. Read more about how the membership model works.

Our Mission

The UK Chapter of the Usability Professionals’ Association brings together UK professionals from the design, technology and research communities who share a vision of creating compelling technology that meets users’ needs and abilities.

Through our meetings, discussions and outreach work, we aim to:

  • Provide our members with opportunities for learning and professional growth
  • Champion the benefits of user centred design techniques and approaches

UK UPA Policy

The UK UPA sits within the structure of the Global UPA Organisation. This means that it is governed by some policies and byelaws of the global organisation, with some exceptions. Our policies are under review and will be published shortly.

Feedback & Suggestions

As a volunteer organisation, we do our best to support the community in the time that we have available. Participation from, and collaboration with, the community is crucial, as is hearing feedback and ideas from individuals and other groups working towards similar objectives.
